BHS is an independent, International Baccalaureate and Round Square School for students from the Early Years Programme (EYP) through Year 13. BHS is all-girls’ from EYP until Year 11, and welcomes boys in Year 12 & 13 for the Senior Years Programme. The School offers the English National Curriculum through Key Stage 1-3, the GCSE/IGCSE examinations at Key Stage 4, and the IB Diploma Programme , IB Courses and A Levels (starting in September 2023) in the final two years of school. Students may also sit the SATI and II examinations in Years 12 & 13. 

The educational programme at BHS  aims to foster well-rounded students with a strong focus on leadership,  the arts, athletics and community service. As a Round Square school, students are given the opportunity to participate in student exchanges, annual international conferences and service projects around the world.
