- An information evening is held in the Fall for BHS students and external applicants of Year 11 (MYP 5, Grade 10-USA). All applications must be submitted by January 11th in the year of entry.
- In order for students to be accepted into the BHS SYP programme, they should have predicted marks to achieve at least 5 GCSE’s at grades A* - C or equivalent. Two of these GCSE’s must be English Language and Mathematics.
- Generally, a student must present a GCSE Grade B or better, MYP 5 or 80% for any subject to be taken at the Higher Level in the IB programme. Those students wishing to take Higher Mathematics must present A* in the IGCSE, MYP 7 in Extended Mathematics or 90%.
- A student must present a GCSE grade C or better, MYP 4 or 60% for any subject to be taken at the Standard Level in the IB programme.
- Applicants may be required to sit subject placement tests in English, Mathematics and Science. All applicants and their parents/guardians will be invited for an interview. Subsequent to the interview, the students and family may receive a place offer. In order to secure the place, a signed enrolment contract together with a non-refundable registration fee of $100 should be received by BHS, no later than 28th February of the year of entry.
- Adjustments in course selections are generally made and completed by April 30th. Where the school cannot provide the courses selected at interview, the application may be withdrawn, without penalty.
- The family’s financial account at their current school must be in good standing, prior to admission to the Senior Years Programme. Financial aid is available, upon application.
We require full disclosure of all relevant information pertaining to the applicant’s physical, mental, behavioural and emotional state and any psycho-educational assessments, diagnoses of learning disabilities and/or learning related issues and provision of all relevant documentation in its entirety. Failure to do so may result in a future place offer being revoked.
