EYP & Year 1

Early application and registration is available for EYP and Year 1 only. Parents who have submitted an application will receive information about the Enrolment Process that takes place in the year the applicant turns three years old. In cases where the number of applicants exceeds the number of places, preference is given to siblings and daughters of alumni, whose applications were submitted within two years of birth. Thereafter, consideration is given to the timing of the application.

Years 2 - 6

Applications for Years 2 and upwards will be accepted in the proposed year of entry only, as BHS offers admissions on a rolling basis. Consideration is given to the timing of the application and to the results of the entrance assessment / examination.

EYP

The Admissions Process for Applicants to EYP is as follows:

Parents are welcome to complete an application form and return it to BHS together with a copy of a birth certificate at any point after their daughter's birth.
In the year that their daughter turns 3, parents will receive an invitation to attend a meeting where they will receive an overview of the EYP and information about the admissions process. Parents who are unable to attend the information meeting may collect their information package and Admission Offer from the Director of Admissions.
Place Offers will be made in the following way:
- Siblings of students currently enroled at BHS, whose applications are submitted by their second birthday
- Daughters of alumni, whose applications are submitted by their second birthday
- Date application received by BHS
Acceptance of the Place Offer is accomplished by completion of the Enrolment Contract and payment of the non-refundable Registration Fee. Place Offers not accepted will remain on file. Parents who wish to reconsider this decision may contact the Director of Admissions to check on the availability of places. It should be noted, however, that these applications may lose any preferred status as outlined in point 3 above.
Following the deadline to return the Enrolment Contract and Registration Fee, Place Offers will be made to applicants in our waiting pool. Thereafter, Place Offers will be made to new applicants on an ongoing basis.

Years 1 - 6

Applicants to Years 3-6 are invited to visit BHS at which time they take year group assessment tests. To be admitted, an applicant must perform at or above the year group average in English and Mathematics. Work samples may be requested to support a student's application.

The following documents are required from all applicants:

A completed BHS application form and non-refundable $75 application fee
A copy of the applicant's most recent report card (Years 2-6)
A copy of the final report card from the previous academic year (Years 2-6)
A copy of the applicant's birth certificate
A copy of the applicant's Entry / Re-entry Permit from the Bermuda Department of Immigration, if possible
Full disclosure of all relevant information pertaining to the applicant's physical, mental, behavioural and emotional state and any psycho-educational assessments, diagnoses of learning disabilities and/or learning related issues and provision of all relevant documentation in its entirety. failure to do so, may result in a future place offer being revoked.
