The Primary Department at BHS provides a hands-on, joyful learning experience for girls entering the Early Years Programme (EYP) through Year 6. Our dedicated teachers will nurture your daughter's confidence, build her belief in herself and her abilities and guide her to become an inquisitive learner.
In Secondary, BHS girls are challenged academically and given every opportunity to explore a wide range of interests outside the classroom. BHS’s unique teaching and learning community means that each girl receives the support she needs to thrive and often exceed her potential. Middle and Secondary school are times of enormous academic, physical, social and emotional growth, which can be challenging for adolescent girls. An emphasis on emotional well-being is woven into the fabric of the Secondary experience.
The SYP advantage at BHS is clear. With small class sizes and a tailored approach to each student, our graduates consistently score above the worldwide average and gain entry into their university of choice. Students leave BHS as thoughtful learners and critical thinkers ready to succeed at the world’s top universities and beyond.
There is no typical “BHS Girl”. All our students are encouraged to take risks, try new things, and discover and nurture their interests – in the classroom, on the field, in the lab, art studio or on the stage. Teaching in the ways that girls learn best, BHS makes space for girls to walk to the front, define their path, overcome obstacles, and celebrate achievements. Our graduates stand tall among peers. They are confident, passionate young women who are prepared and impassioned to lead tomorrow’s world.
From their very first day, BHS students benefit from a world of opportunity in an environment that has been purposefully constructed to support and challenge girls. They become part of a community of learners who are curious about the world and share a joy of learning.
