Welcome to the BHS Primary Department

In the Primary Department, where the demands of external examinations are still in the future,
students are offered a sound academic education in an environment that seeks to promote the
development of self esteem through a sense of accomplishment.Our goals are to increase each
student's knowledge, skills, experience and understanding, to encourage independent and
creative thinking and to develop awareness of moral values.

Our students are encouraged to value their own heritage and to appreciate that of others. They
are expected to follow school rules, to behave courteously and to show consideration for the
rights and opinions of others at all times. Parental support of these goals is essential and we
encourage communication between home and school as a means of ensuring that they are met.
