Welcome to The Bermuda High School for Girls website. You will find a great deal of information here about the school, our current academic, artistic and athletic programmes, our extra-curricular activities and our long and distinguished past.

In Bermuda, we are the first IB World School and the only Round Square School.  We are proud to be the only all girls school in Bermuda from Years 1 to 11. Young men are admitted into the International Baccalaureate programme for Years 12 and 13. 

In 2011, we were rated as the top local academic private school, based on our IB and GCSE results. 100% of our IB2 students achieved certificates at both the Higher and Standard levels. 76% of the 38 students, who were entered at the Diploma level, received the full Diploma.

Our top scoring student was Katie Cusumano who received 44 points out of the possible 45 points in the IB Diploma. This placed her in the top 0.4% of students, worldwide. Katie will be attending Brown University. Chloe Brookes, Mariangela Bucci (Bermuda’s 2011 Outstanding Teen), Madeleine Fox and Caitlin O’Doherty earned the second highest scores of 39 points. Many of our top-scoring students applied to universities in North America and received acceptances from several prestigious universities: Middlebury College, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, UC Berkeley, McGill University, Queen’s University and University of Toronto.

Our (I)GCSE results were excellent this year.  47 students took, on average, nine subjects each.  I am particularly pleased as 41% of the papers written by our students were at an A* and A standard.  94% of the students achieved at least five A*-C grades in their GCSE/(I)GCSE courses. Particular mention is to be made of the top seven students who received the following numbers of A* and A grades:
